We use the latest technology and products approved by FDA, and our nurse practitioners and laser professionals are licensed and certified in the treatments that we are offering at Universal Laser Center.
As part of the Consultation process, we use the Reveals Imager which is a device that visualizes the skin’s surface in three dimensions from any angle, rendered in natural skin tone, color relief, or grayscale.
Laser skin tightening is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses laser technology to improve the appearance of loose or sagging skin. It works by delivering heat energy to the deeper layers of the skin, which stimulates the production of collagen and elastin – the proteins that give skin its elasticity and firmness.
During the procedure, a laser device is used to deliver short pulses of laser energy to the skin. The energy is absorbed by the water content in the skin, which causes the collagen and elastin fibers to contract and tighten. This also triggers the body’s natural healing response, which leads to the production of new collagen and elastin fibers over time.
Laser skin tightening can be used to improve the appearance of loose or sagging skin on the face, neck, arms, abdomen, and thighs. The procedure is typically painless, and there is little to no downtime afterward. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after the procedure.
Laser Skin Tightening Effectiveness
The effectiveness of laser skin tightening is not solely determined by age but rather by the degree of skin laxity or sagging. Generally, laser skin tightening is most effective for individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity, regardless of age. People with more pronounced signs of aging require a more profound resurfacing treatment with another type of laser, which could be a combination laser or an ablative laser.
In the aging process, the skin naturally loses collagen and elastin, which can lead to a loss of skin firmness and elasticity. Laser Skin Tightening is directed to individuals experiencing signs of aging, such as sagging skin, dynamic and static wrinkles, and fine expression lines. However, younger individuals who have experienced significant weight loss or loose skin due to pregnancy or other factors may also benefit from laser skin tightening.
It’s important to note that the effectiveness of laser skin tightening can vary from person to person, depending on various factors, including skin type, skin condition, and the individual’s overall health. To reinforce the treatment with laser for skin tightening, Universal Laser Center offers IV Therapy to help balance the body’s nutritional components, such as vitamins, trace minerals, and other nutrients that help in the healing process after laser treatments.

Combined Treatment
Laser Skin Tightening can be combined with other types of procedures, such as radiofrequency (RF) and micro-needling, to enhance the overall effects of the treatment. This combination of procedures is often referred to as a “laser RF micro-needling” or “RF micro-needling” treatment.
At Universal Laser Center, we dispose of the Sublime, which is a bipolar radiofrequency, and the eMatrix, which is another bipolar radiofrequency, but this is for fractional and sublative treatment. We also have radiofrequency microneedles fractionated devices ideal for damaged skin and skin color. The treatment of those devices can be applied after the skin laser tightening as part of the treatment plan.
- Other treatment that usually we combine with Laser Skin Tightening are: Hydrafacial, Platelet Rich Plasma, Erbium and CO2 lasers, Botox, Filler, eyebrows designed and other different procedures we perform in relation with the clients needed.

Consultation and Treatment Process
The entire laser skin tightening procedure typically takes less than an hour, and most people can resume their normal activities immediately afterward. Although protocol for laser skin tightening treatment can vary depending on the specific laser device used, the area being treated, and the individual’s needs and skin type. However, in general, the process of performing laser skin tightening treatment can be broken down into several steps:
Consultation: The first step is to schedule a consultation with a qualified licensed professional to determine whether laser skin tightening is suitable for your specific needs. During the consultation, the practitioner will assess your skin laxity, discuss your goals and expectations, and explain the procedure and any potential risks or side effects.
Preparation: Before the treatment, the practitioner will cleanse the treatment area and may apply a topical numbing cream or local anesthesia to help minimize any discomfort during the procedure.
Treatment: During the procedure, the practitioner will use a handheld laser device to deliver short pulses of laser energy to the treatment area. The laser energy is absorbed by the water content in the skin, which causes the collagen and elastin fibers to contract and tighten.
Cooling: Most laser skin tightening devices have built-in cooling mechanisms to help protect the skin from heat damage and minimize discomfort during the procedure.
Post-treatment: After the treatment, the practitioner will provide instructions on how to care for the treated area, including any recommended skin care products, sun protection, and follow-up appointments.
Follow-up: Follow-up appointments may be scheduled to monitor the progress of the treatment and determine whether additional sessions are necessary to achieve the desired results.
The Treatment and results
The time it takes to see the results of laser skin tightening can vary from person to person, but most people will start to see a noticeable improvement in their skin’s firmness and texture within a few weeks of treatment.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that the full effects of laser skin tightening may not be visible for several months after treatment. This is because the treatment works by stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin, and it can take several months for these proteins to fully develop and for the skin to regenerate.
The duration of the effects of laser skin tightening can also vary depending on the individual’s skin type, the severity of their skin laxity, and other factors such as sun exposure, smoking, and overall health. In general, the results of laser skin tightening can last for several months to a few years, but the effects are not permanent.
To maintain laser skin tightening results, it’s essential to follow a healthy lifestyle, protect the skin from sun damage, and practice good skin care habits. Some people may also benefit from occasional maintenance treatments to help prolong the effects of laser skin tightening.
About the Equipment
There are several types of laser equipment that can be used for skin tightening, and the specific device used will depend on the individual’s needs and the practitioner’s expertise. Here are some of the most frequently used types of laser equipment for skin tightening:
Generally, at Universal Laser Center, we use Nd:YAG lasers and Alexandrite long pulsed for nonablative lasers treatment in laser skin rejuvenation concerning the grade of the aging lesion that our professionals diagnose in the clients. Nd:YAG lasers use a longer wavelength of light to penetrate deeper into the skin, targeting the collagen-producing cells and promoting the production of new collagen and elastin fibers. Nd:YAG lasers are often used for skin tightening on the face, neck, and other body areas.
For those with aging signs more pronounced and classified on a higher scale, we have other laser machines that include CO2, Erbium YAG, Alexandrite, and NdYAD whit short and ultrashort pulses.
